What to avoid if you're taking Avodart:

  1. Drugs containing Finasteride since it will lead to drug overdose. It contains the same dosage of 0.5mg.
  2. Tuberculosis drugs like isoniazid
  3. Antifungal medicine like itraconazole
  4. Conivaptan (vaprisol)
  5. Blood pressure drug like diltazem
  6. Nefazodone antidepressant medication
  7. Clarithromycin (biaxin) antibiotic
  8. Imatinib (gleevec)
  9. There are more drugs and some generic name drugs not listed above.

By not restricting water intake to as much as four glasses a day, this condition regarding the difficulty to pass urine would be avoided. It will give strain to the prostate and total well being of the patient.
